Shipping Information

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship our goods to Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Iceland, United Kingdom and Germany.

What are the shipping costs?

The dispatch within Germany is free of charge starting from an order value of 50€. If the order value is less than 50€, we reserve the right to charge a flat shipping fee of 3,99€.

The dispatch within the EU is free starting from an order value of 100€. For orders under 100€ value of goods we charge a shipping fee of 10€.

Shipping to Liechtenstein and Switzerland is free from a value of 100€. For an order value below 100€ we charge a flat rate of 15€ for the shipping costs.

 

When do I get my package?

All orders are processed within two working days and shipped from Germany. Depending on the delivery address, the package will reach you within three to four working days.

Why do you charge shipping costs?

We have decided to charge shipping costs for the shipping of our products. As a children and youth initiative we finance ourselves through donations. Good chocolate also contributes to our foundation’s work. So far, we have borne the personnel expenses and shipping costs ourselves. Since the test victory of Good Chocolate at Stiftung Warentest, however, the number of orders has risen – and so have the costs of shipping and handling. In order for us to be able to ship goods on a cost-covering basis, we now have to charge shipping costs. From 50 Euro order value we raise no forwarding expenses. Book shipments are free of charge.

Payment Information and Security

What payment methods are offered?

We accept payments via credit card, direct debit, GiroPay, PayPal and invoice. You can also pay with Google Pay and Apple Pay.

 

Is it safe to shop online at www.thegoodshop.org?

The Good Shop is secured by SSL encryption. This is the same technology used by leading e-commerce websites and companies to protect your data.

All electronic payments (credit cards, SEPA, etc.) are tokenized before payment, so the payment is not made with the actual card number, but with an encrypted token.

Orders and Returns

Can I also place orders without a user account?

Yes, you can also order goods conveniently via the Good Shop without opening a user account. To keep track of your orders as well as invoice and shipping information, you can create a customer account during the ordering process.

How can I cancel or change an order?

You have access to your orders via your personal customer account. You can easily cancel or change them as long as they have not yet been processed.

How can I track my order?

Once we have shipped your order, you will find the tracking information online in your user account.

Can I return orders?

If the delivered goods do not meet your expectations, you have the option of returning them to us within 14 days (Right of Withdrawal). Please contact us in advance at [email protected].

Foods such as the Change Chocolate or Organic Change Chocolate are excluded from exchange.

The Change Chocolate

We sell the Change Chocolate on the one hand and the Organic Change Chocolate on the other. Here you will find our most frequent chocolate questions:

When is a tree planted for five bars sold and when for three?

Planting a tree on our plantation in Yucatán, Mexico, costs one Euro. From one bar of the Change Chocolate sold, 20 cents go to Plant-for-the-Planet, so one tree is planted for every five bars sold. From one Organic Change Chocolate bar, 33 cents go to Plant-for-the-Planet, so we can plant one tree for every three bars sold.

Is the Change Chocolate also available in other varieties?

Further varieties of the Change Chocolate are not planned at the moment, as our capacities as a children’s and youth initiative are quite limited. In addition, it is important for us to put a lot of energy into our actual foundation purposes. Furthermore, we are dependent on free shelf space in the grocery stores, which we can only fill with one variety.

Why is the chocolate packaged in aluminium/plastic?

The Change Chocolate is in aluminium, the Organic Change Chocolate is packed in plastic. Both materials have their advantages and disadvantages. We are aware of this and are not yet satisfied with both packagings. For some time now we have been working on the question of a satisfactory solution for food-safe packaging – we always have to keep food regulations in mind. This does not make it any easier to find a suitable alternative to conventional packaging. We are very grateful for tips and experience.

Why is the Change Chocolate punched differently?

The Organic Change Chocolate is conventionally punched, with pieces of the same size.

The Change Chocolate is split differently, because each piece is literally good for something: for the environment, the people, the future – and of course for you! The size of each piece is explained to you by the chocolate itself. Just as special as the distribution of the chocolate is the message we want to convey with it.

Where are the trees planted?

We from Plant-for-the-Planet plant our trees on the foundation’s own planting area in Yucatán, Mexico. Our local workers grow the seedlings themselves and care for them until they can survive on their own. You can find more information about our planting area here.

What do I do with the voucher code on the chocolate wrap?

The voucher code on the chocolate wrap can be redeemed online on the start page of our website www.plant-for-the-planet.org. In return you will receive your personal tree certificate. The trees you finance by buying the Change Chocolate will be planted on the foundation’s own planting area in Yucatán, Mexico, even if you do not redeem the code online.

I love the Change Chocolate – How can I continue to support you?

As a children and youth initiative, we are dependent on supporters and donations. You can support us in different ways, for example

Give away trees: The Tree Voucher from Plant-for-the-Planet is the perfect gift – for every Euro donated, a tree will be planted on the Yucatán peninsula, Mexico. The voucher can be personalized, printed and given as a gift.

Donations: In order to sustainably support the work of Plant-for-the-Planet, we are especially happy about regular, but also one-time donations. You can decide for yourself on the purpose of the donation – should the money be used for trees, the education of children as ambassadors for climate justice or other foundation purposes?
